Question Replacing Alternator on 2k V6 Accord

Hello all,
My alternator is dead and I am about to replace it.
I think I saw a special belt tension tool for $23 at the parts store.

Does anyone know if this tool is required?

I heard the belt tension is automatic on this car, but I'm not sure if I need this tool to release/reset the belt.

Thanks much,
-T

no, you'll need 14mm wrench to release belt tension.

Try to get a long 14 mm wrench, it makes things much easier.
