1999 infinity stereo / power drain
when the infinity stereo amplifier wiring harness is plugged into the amplifier, the battery goes dead overnight. therefore, i believe the problem is in the amp. however, it could be in the radio.
3 questions 1) the amp is easy to remove, but how do i remove the dash, in order that i might remove the radio for having it checked-out? 2) any suggestions on a repair facility for the amp/radio. 3) anyone out there have a working system for sale in the event mine is not repairable??? in advance, thanks for your help, richard |

I have the infinity sound system as well, however I replaced the facotry radio with an aftermarket radio. In order to remove the radio, simple stick a putty knife or flat head screw driver right underneath the A/C vents and all the way around. It is held in place by spring clips and can easily be put back into place. I also have the factory radio which I would possibly we willing to sell to you. It is in prime condition.

Re: 1999 infinity stereo / power drain
What year, etc is your Jeep? I have a 98 GC and the amp is under the back seat, simple removal. flip the seat cushion up and there it is. yours might be different...
