Question concerning neons on a bird..

The law states that with any exterior lighting, the bulbs must not be showing. I just found the right LED kit that I want, and have it ready to order, if this question could be answered. Can they be installed on a stock bird so that the bulbs do not show underneath, or are some type of ground effects needed to cover?

If anyone else has pics of their bird with neons, I would love to see it.

just depends where you install them underneath. the reason they can't be showing is people could mistake them for emergency vehicles. just install them in a place where you can't see them when you're horizontal with teh car's bottom.

I'm sure you could tuck them up into the side rails... But a body kit might be a good option. Plus, it will allow you to keep from 'hiding' your light kit in the rails.. That's my only idea.

I'll answer to whatever posts I feel like. Anything is possible when doing mods. Others gave you ideas, so did I. Can't help it if you didn't like my response. Others have the same opinion as mine, they just didn't voice it.

..and your opinion had nothing to do with answering my question. I really could not care less what anyone thinks of my car, I just wanted help. You didn't help. I'm not the rich type that wants or can afford a new hood, body kit, engine mods, etc.., i'm not trying to attract any attention or star my car on the next "Fast and the Furious." I just want on my car what looks good to me, not the guy standing next to me.

Come on guys, this has gotten blown out of proportion. I'm sure one or both of you is having a shitty day or something, so let's just pass it off as that. You guys are both cool as hell, and have helped eachother (and many others) a great deal in here. Let's just end this thread right here and act like nothing happened. Seriously. Let's not lose what we have going here over something like pride.

For the record, I like both of yall's accessories, but am too damn poor to afford either! That's why I come here so I can get out of paying mechanics whenever possible!

That's just the problem..have you ever looked at the underside of your tbird? As far as I can tell, there is no possible way of installing in a place that you can't see..it is all flat with the exception of the tunnel for the driveshaft. Could anyone give more ideas?

I will go and check my underside during my lunch break.... Like I said, you can tuck them "inside" the frame rail, but I can double check.

If you do put them on the "in-side" of the frame rail, remember that they are there if you ever need to jack up your car. That scissor jack that comes with the car looks like the claws extend pretty far on each side of the points as the jack goes up. This is the same place that I was thinking of too, tho. Just something to think about.

Ok, I now have the LED's installed, and they actual fit better than I thought after looking underneath. I put them right inside the small lip under the side doors (not sure what this is called). They show half of the bulb, but are safe from most objects unless I run over a large curb or something. They are tubed with some type of hard plastic, so it gives better protection than the glass. The front and rear were easy and are in no danger. Here is the only pic I could get to come out remotely decent. Please no flaming.
