problem in starting

have a starting problem with 89 prelude SI, when the engine gets hot , engine wont start, have to wait for 30-45 minutes to cool down

thats most likely your fuel shut off relay. I found a bunch of articles on it. The next time that happens check to see if you have any fuel pressure. Or look on the net for fuel relay problems. Why is your engine hot when you are going to start the car... usually your car is sitting for atleast 15 minutes before you go to start it after you turned it off last. It should be cooler when you go to turn it back on than when you turned it off

it needs more cooler temp thats why it need more time to start

Most likely your main relay. It provides power to the fuel pump during ignition. What happens is over the years, the constant heat and cold in the interior cracks the soldering connections on the relay. When the interior is hot those connections expand and not enough contact is made within the soldered connection.

So, without any power to the fuel pump, you get alot of crank, but no start. I just changed mine last night and it's an easy fix. It's a red relay, made by Mitsuba and it's located just to the left of the fuse box when you are sitting in the driver's seat (so it's between the fuse box and driver's side door)
