!987 Chevy G20 Van 4.3 262 v6 Will not idle or run HELP.
OK Guys and Gals I have relied on you folks once already and you folks are very helpful. I will now put you to the test again...i have a 1987 Chevy G20 witha 4.3 liter 262 v6 I drove the van down 300 miles ran great after a tune up including plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil, and the little chip under the cap. while on my working vacation started to run rough I think I may have gotten some bad gas. Filled it up and waalaa it was running fine started on my trip home and it was running very rough had the accelerator to the floor and hit speeds of 50 mph MAYBE. Finally got her pulled into a gas station filled it up and no change had a very hard time keeping it running to get back on the highway and when I did I could only reach speeds of 50 or 55. So I get home and It would not Idle So i unplugged the map sensor and it idled and ran for almost 3 minutes then died, So i replaced the MAP sensor. No change, It will start up and die after 5 seconds. I have had the entire throttle body rebuilt replaced EGR valve, O2 sensor MAP sensor, I have drained the gas and changed the fuel filter. When you unplug the map sensor it will run very well for a few minutes. With the sensor plugged in it will fire up idle for less than a minute then die. If i set and pump the accelerater pedal it will continue to run pretty smooth. If you press the accelerater to the floor it cuts out and almost dies. Any help would be awesome.
