Good exhaust for 89 ZX Turbo

I saw a hks exhaust on the net but im not sure weather to get it or not.
ive also been thinking about getting just a muffler and getting a custom made 3 inch piping. or if you guys know of another brand or solution to getting the most hp out of a exhaust it would realy help

yep, hks is what you'd want to go for, as long as your car is relatively stock, it's probably about the best system you can go for in terms of sound and looks... if you were going for straight performance you should look into running muffler-less with just the cat in there, running 3 inch with a 3 inch downpipe... not as loud as you'd think tho, turbo's are excellent sound absorbers

Yup...my car doesn't have a muffler and it I like it. I was going to get a 3" custom system too, but the place I was going to take it to doesn't use mandrel bent pipes. The HKS is a good system. The systems don't REALLY differ ALL that much...just make sure you get 3" mandrel bent pipe and it's all good. The muffler is a little different. I want to go muffler-less. May not be legal by you. It's not my me (oh well). If you do want a muffler, I've heard good things about Magnaflow mufflers...they don't sound bad, not bad quality and they're pretty cheap.
