Eclipse Auto Tranny Problems **Need Help Please**

I Bought this '97 Eclipse Automatic back in april '04 ran good until today (september 8, 04)

On the way home from work i was in the left turn lane stopped at a red. When green i proceded to accelerate to about 15 mph around the turn when straightend out i steped on the gas and accelerated, then while accelerating i feel the transmision get out of gear(keep in mind this is an AUTOMATIC tranny) the suddenly back in to gear but it was what seemed to be 3rd gear or a higher gear cause there was no power but it did move some, and it would not get out of that gear while acceling or stopping, i pulled into a parking lot and let it sit and checked the ground for leacking oils and nothing, waited 10 minutes then started it the check engine light was on but it was functioning okay again, later this evening it started to do the same again.. why? and when it has this probelm when i take the car from "N" to "R" or "D" It Jerks the engine really hard

(also front motor mount bushing is cracked/broken but has been for some time)

i have the same problem with my 92 auto talon....feels like car starts off in the 3rd gear,,,,accelerates very slowly...if u find a fix let me kno

did you check the tranny fluid?

yes the tranny fluid checks out...what next?

the fluid filter or one of the bands are out of wack
