Whoaaah! This is... Different

Sorry for the bad pic, Just got my new C&D nd was flipping thru it, thay have an article on this car, the PMI-Covini C6W, that was the only pic I could find online, The car has pretty good styling imo, but those 5th and 6th wheels seem out of place, then again we aren't used to them because they aren't typical.

The performance on this car is supposedly better than a ordinary four wheeled car, the extra wheels were said to add 10-15 hp and the cornering was better than a standard 4 wheeler.

It will be interesting to see if this thing goes through to production, Wouldn't mind driving one....

This post was pure sarcasm by the way.

Re: Whoaaah! This is... Different

How do the extra two wheels add 10-15 horsepower?

Re:

Sorry I read the article, the original 6 wheel car in the F1 series had 10 inch front wheels that added 10-15 hp advantage over the other f1 cars. I don't know how but it did, there are also quite a few merits to having 6 wheels, such as stability, not carreening out of control if a tire blows, less risk of hydroplaning, softer ride etc. still looks dumb though.

and at 300,000USD a piece...

Any link to see how the steering system is set up? I'd kinda like to see that.

Re: Whoaaah! This is... Different

Kinda weird lookin', but I'd take it for a test drive...
But... what would prevent the other tire from exploding if you have a blowout on the other tire from the same side? (if that makes sense to you...)
