gst vs rs

This kid I know has a GST turbo with an auto tranny and he wants to race my RS with auto tranny. I'm pretty sure I would get my ass kicked if i did race him lol, but if I put in a turbo, do you think it would be more evenly matched?

Re: gst vs rs

I'm not sure how the transmission would affect your car being able to have a turbo kit on it or not.... Seems like as long as you have room under the hood, the exhaust manifolds are the same, and you produce exhaust, you should be fine whether you have an automatic or a manual transmission.

Re: gst vs rs

who did you contact, you can put a turbo on your auto no problem...and it doesnt matter if you put a t25 or a t3/t4 turbo on your car you still wont be able to beat him without doing some internal work to...like rst said, he wouldnt recomend boosting more than 10 psi on stock internals (gst stock is 14-15)...BUT to answer your real question it would be more evenly matched

Re: gst vs rs
