camshaft sensor
I have a 98 ZR2 4.3 tbi. I finally bought a scanner and this just may have solved my jumping tach problem.The scanner gave me a "camshaft position sensor malfunction"
 .Is this the sensor in the cap?

Did a little research and thats it.It's also known as a stator,pickup.
