Sticking Tranny

One day i was driving down the road and just to listen to my exahust I punched it at a stop light. When i got into 2nd gear it usually shifts at about 65 mph but this time I heard my engine whining out and it finnally shifted at 80 - 85 mph. I dont know what that could be but everyone keeps telling me that my transmission is sticking. I dont know hwhat that is, but i hope there is something i can do about it,

Well i know that if i take my foot off the gas it will shift, i was just wondering if there is anything wrong with my tranny? or does a lot of peoples tranny do that? If i get up to 80 mph in 2nd gear you dont think that will blow my engine do you?

Re: Sticking Tranny

as long as you're not bouncing it off the rev limiter, you should be ok, but 6,500 rpm in a quad-4 is just asking for big repair bills.
