Grand Am Gt.......

Does anyone here have one? How well do they run? are they tunable? just some questions, oh and im talking bout '01 models, but any input would help...thanks guys

They are tunable, but they are limited more by the trans as to what they can be tuned to. They are only rated at being able to handle 280 ft-lbs of torque(if i remember right). Also I would choose a GTP over a GT as there are GTp's that can run 12's. Personally I would choose something other than a car that has a 3.8 V6 in it. I currently own a buick with it and it has just over 45000 miles, and in the buick it is really really weak and struggles to pull the car. If you're looking for performance, I'd choose a different car.

id step it up to a grand prix gtp if you want a pontiac but not a firebird for some reason.

i have a friend with a modded gtp, its great, roasts all the average rice plus stangs and camaros. The Grand am just isnt gonna pack the wallop it needs to compete with whats out there if you wanna go beyond fried rice

i got my ass handed to me at the strip by one of the supercharged ones, isnt it the gtp? it wasnt the ram air one. funny that night a grand am won import class... oh well lets hit a road course and see who wins.

i would have to agree with psman. they're too heavy and they only have a v6, ofcourse you could probably mod one to be fast, but why. I would go by a firebird or camaro z28 for about the same price!
