Tps

Hey guys. I've got a 97' Tacoma, 2.7 with 122k. Bought her used about three months ago. About a month and a half ago, the engine light came on. I had scanned at a local shop; it was the TPS. It eventually went off. I went ahead and cleaned the throttle body, and had an induction clean done. The light stayed off for about three weeks, and recently came back on. Do the TPS's go bad, or just get dirty. Should I just replace it?

Re: Tps

Did you check to see if the new light has the same code as before? If it is the TPS, replace it.
