OBD II Need help

I have a 98 Ram 1500 Quad 4x4 5.2. I just took it through MD emissions and it failed. The guy said the computer wasnt responding were they connect to. He said it was probably a fuse for it. I have no check engine light and it runs fine. The paper just says OBDII Communications fail. Haven't looked yet just got home. wanted to get a few ideas if any. Thanks in advance.

Re: OBD II Need help

It's onboard diagnostics. The government ordered that it be put in vehicles.
