Looking to put a Nissan Skyline engine into my Civic

I have just recently blew out my stock engine in my Civic. I have found a Skyline engine with transmission for a good price. Does any one know if it is even possible to make such a hybrid. :feedback

The engine that I found will only cost $1,900. What else am I looking at paying if I do all the work myself.

Dude its not worth it. If you have the money then go for it. I'd rather have someone install proffessionally if theres anyone out there that knows how. You gotta completely change the wiring and u need to get a wirng diagram. I dont know what kind of tranny your getting. The rb25 is the rwd and the rb26 is awd. Either you gotta completely change the drivetrain. Too much work and i'm getting a headache from tellin you all this haha

gotta call BS on this as going rate on D to B swaps are around a G and thats a pretty simple one!

fabbing up all that shit cutting to fit that huge motor would be a ton.

Exactly. I dont know why he wants a skyline motor. I'd rather buy an r33 for that kind of cost.

It's possible, but not very practical. Expect to spend a lot in custom fabrication and headaches to get it working. One of the people on my Del Sol forum is about finished with his turbo Silvia motor swap. It's taken him about two years though I believe.

Re: Looking to put a Nissan Skyline engine into my Civic

This swap is a bad .. my buddy had a Infiniti G20 and even though it is (NISSIAN) He could never get the car running right and + AWD or RWD "what ever you want to do " was and is tough to do... lots of time.... but i am sure if you did do the swap RIGHT it would kick some a$$

anything is possible! if i had the chance to do it i would. but it's gona be a lot of work if your doin it your self. if you got the money have someone else do it though. all in all it would be a pretty sweet swap. kick some ass!!
