Import Guys
Some import guys just piss me off.
We were sitting in the stands (the boys vasity soccer team) and watching the jv play sense we play after them. I had my new road and track or mybe car and driver mag with me and some off my friends and i were looking and talking about the cars in their the hennesy viper with 800 hp running 9lbs of boost though twin turbos and the lamagini roadster (sp sry) and a few other cars and out of the blue the goalie for the team (which by the way is amazing) says when u see a 8 sec talon come talk to me. so say what and he was like yea i saw a 8 sec talon naturaly asperated runing 8 secs with 37 lbs of boost well other then the turbo its naturaly asperated (I was thinking then the engine isnt naturaly asperated so y the hell would u say that.) and he goes on about how bad ass it is etc. so i responded by saying this weekend i watched a 90 gt run 7.1 seconds aganist a dagster! Then went on talking about how the corba ran 13.34 and a sti ran 13.4 and how the sti is a import and it almost beat a corba with a blower as he said. (Its a 03) So i said yeah the sti has 4wd and causes it to have insane launchs and the corba irs casuses the lauchs to be extremly diffuclt and if u look at the trap speed the corba trap higher showing u the corba was gaining on it very quickly. then he says the sti has 35 less hp which i corrected him and said no it has 90 less bc a corba runs 390 hp and a sti runs 300 hp. Then he goes on a says bs and a bunch of stuff the corba doesnt got 390 its alot less then that. so i pull out my mag look in the back and show him the corba has 390 hp. he trys to say o is that the newer one bc thats what i am talking about so i say yeah 04. But what made me pissed was the fact that though all this he was so cocky and thought how much better he was then me and muscle cars. also he is the same kid that was trying to make fun of me bc he says a lost to a civic si and was telling everybody a 4cyl beat a v8. well the truth is from the stop light i beat the shit out of that civic and slowed down he then got infront and me took a right at the light and floored it i then turned after him and tired to catch up now the truth is i didnt catch up one i went to 60 mph and then there is a mail truck driving down the road so i shut down i wasnt going to fly past a mail man like that (the civic past him at pry 75) i have more respect for him then that so this kid the goalie was on 21st the street we turned off of and said he saw the whole thing and got my ass beat and everytime i tell him the truth he says ur just pissed that ur v8 got beat by a 4 cyl. o yeah by the way the civic has heads,cam,headers,and all the way back,coldair intake,and advanced timing hmm......that might add some hp to the little civic hatchback. There really is no point of writing this i guess i am just venting alittle or something. Ken |

didn't bother to read it but for every dumb ricer kid who thinks his car is gods gift to man theres some throwback who thinks theres is too.
Put simply most any cars are cool and can be made fast. BTW next 2 weeks i'll be in a low mid 14 sec honda yipppie! |

Well I kind of understood you. All I can tell you is that there are plenty of bench racers out there. And there even more people that claim they saw or they heard. Unless its right here right now ready to lay rubber it don't mean jack. So don't let stupid people running there mouth get you too excited. Those that can't usually do the most talkin.

Yea man you just have to sometimes not pay attention to stupid people like that.....but hey 4cyl. or no cyl. any car can be made pretty fast...except for honduhs....some people buy them fast sopme people build them...

Hondas are infact economy cars that a lot of people think are performance cars. Mustangs are performace cars. Not your grandma's 95 Civic.

2 weeks we'll see what the honda bashings about =) i'll be fast as GT handle lot better with few years of racing under my belt not to bad for only few k total
Hondas are economy cars as they roll out but under them is the same set up as the great race cars they run just with motor that sips gas like an old lady on hot tea. |

The kid in the Honda flying by after you shut down is commonly known as the "ricer Flyby".
Anyone who does it to me gets nothing but a dirty look. If I meet them again I tell them either we race for cash, they can pick which car, the 'Tona or the Cobra, or else they better shut it. BTW the funniest thing I've ever done to one, he was revving and messing with me at a couple of lights, eventually I saw a cop car, so I revved back. When the light changed, he peeled out, and I just took off like an old man in a Mustang.... Ricer boy got BUSTED!!! The cop grinned and waved at me too, it was beautiful! When riceboys talk shit like that kid did with the magazine, just tell them "whatever, dude" and leave it at that. The ones that will listen and allow themselves to become educated are few and far between.

Thats awsome about the cop story i was in the parking lot and i saw this guy in a caviler and exhaust take off from the light and a sec later u see a cop turn his lights and and fly after him. |
