Olympic Hockey!

Which Team do you think will win the gold?!

Alot of people favour Wayne Gretsky's team Canada.... but that's probably just here, since i'm in Canada.

I've seen the rosters of the other teams, Team USA looks stacked too!

I dunno who's gunna win....

I would love for Canada to take it this year as i have a few friends in B.C.

Looking at the rosters though any 1 of those teams could win on any given day. Should be a close competition.

GO CANADA - Brodeur is my hero

Almost every sports website i go to says Canada's the favorite going into the games, and the Canada, USA and Russia are the teams with speed. The other teams are a little slow they say

but i got most of the info from www.espn.com

Nope! Still here. Was busy doing some celebrating of Chinese New Year!

I am giving the nod to a north american team and more specifically to the Canadians. They were smacked down in Nagano and are (nearly) the home team. The US will give a solid run for a medal. I wont be surprised if it ends up gold With the more open ice, I dont see any team with the offensive talent that the US and Canada have. With Roy (what an asshole - as an opinion) Canada has the hottest goaltender in the world. Gonna be tough to beat.

I think the teams weren't used to the large ice surface in nagano..... man was that embarrasing

I heard (but doubt it's true) that one of the forward lines on the canadian team, is going to be: Shannahan, Sakic, Kariya
that's gunna be trouble
aswell as Lemieux, Lindros, Yzerman

That's like an All-Star team! lol

but look at USA: Amonte, Modano, Roenick! another crazy ass group of all stars

Russia has power also with Bure and Federov

i think those have to be the top 3
the other teams have weak offense (compared)

And why is Barasso playin for USA?? Hasn't he retired yet? lol he's an old man
Richter is the man though, he's damn good

Just for fun... imagine watching this:
USA Vs. Canada

Sakic, Lindros, Lemieux
Niedermayer, MacInnis
Belfour

VS.

Amonte, Modano, Roenick
Chelios, Housley
Richter

That would be one HELL of a Match up!!

Of course the whole prediction thing can go straight to hell if one of the goaltenders (like Hasak ) gets real hot. They can make more of a difference then anyone out there. I'd still like to see it be a US and Canada matchup for the gold. Talent wise, I'd have to go with Canada, but I want the US to win!

Roy isn't playing.

The 3 Canadian goaltenders are Joseph, Brodeur and Belfour.

I would love to see Canada win, but I think the US has a very strong team. I think that the US may be stronger defensively than Canada.

Russia has an amazing amount of talent. So does Sweden.

Finland beat Canada last time.

I don't think it will be a cakewalk, and it's really hard to say who will win.

I do think that Canada has the most individual player of the series for sure - Lemieux is simply incredible. I can't believe how gifted he is.
