How Are the Super Coupes?? Anyone got Experiance??

I never drove one of those, they are by far one of my favorite body's. I believe a 95 sc had like 220-230hp and 315?? or 330ftlbs @2200 rpm, man is that torque. How do they compare to say the 4.6 birds?? I always wanted to drive a supercharged car-mainly a V8-who doesnt, but a V6 with an SC has got to be awesome. Like those Impala SS's the PD's use, they are sc'ed also.

it's a blast to drive.. i personally prefer it to a v8.. everyone knows the grumble of a v8 and expects to see it when the pop the hood.. but it's such a great feeling to have people ask what i got under the hood and i simply tell them a v6.. the sc's stock aren't too quick, bout a 15.5 1/4 mile, but with a couple grand, they'll turn 13s no problem.

I i'd rather the sc's v6, just cause of that torque.. I looked it up, a 95 sc has 330ft lbs @2500rpm, damn... Thats great for stock, also arent the driveshafts in those baby's better than other birds?? I believe i heard it on this forum that the 103 limit on 95 4.6's is cause low rated tires AND shafts that vibrate badly at high speeds. I DO notice the vibration between 95 and that 100 mph mark.

even better is the one piece mark 8 driveshaft.. lot of tbird owners swap theirs with the mark 8.

oh, and those are crank rated numbers so ya know.. my car dynoed 220/330 to the wheels with only heads and cam.. stock intake, stock exhaust, etc.

I like the V8 due to the fact it is more potential then the sc (And has a better exhaust tone)

The SC is a bit more rare though,

8ate8, you SOB. Kidding man, thats gonna be some fast shit man. Yeah the V8's sound better in the exhaust, but sotck vs stock i'll take the SC. Imagine though if our 4.6's had a stock SC....!!! Damn, i'd be at (guessing) 270hp/360ftlbs instead of 205/265 stock.

I have a 92 5spd its fast as hell when its working. I got pulled over for going 117 in a 65 in southern Georgia on the way to Daytona, that sucked. I have had to replace $$$$$ parts on it including the water pump twice, the supercharger, the starter, the transmission, the alternator twice, the adjustable shocks and control stuff for them, front break calipers, and the radiator but that was kind of an upgrade. Im working on fixing a bad overheating problem it has now so I don't even drive it much I cant go fast or it overheats, I might as well drive my Jeeps which kick ass 230,000 miles on the original engine in the 91 with no major repairs ever and it could crush the SC on the highway at this point. my advice buy a jeep and go four wheelin it could chang your idea of what your dream garage would be filled with, it did for me.

Go make your own SC 4.6 easy... Put down a Couple Grand For a SuperCharger.. Various companys make em'. Then you can easily pull up to a mustang at a light.. rev on him.. then let him eat ur dust.
