misfire?

i have an 89 2.0 5 speed and at low rpms it feels like its misfiring. at idle if i rev it up it almost sounds like its going to back fire. when im in gear accelerating it feels like the engine is boging down but only at a certain spot on the gas pedal to full throttle. i just changed the spark plugs and wires and cleaned the throttle body and still doing it.

Re: misfire?

try cleaning the injectors. then get a coputer to hook up to it and see if there are any codes or anything misfiring,

Re: misfire?

Misfiring can be tough to gauge even with a good ear. Spark and fuel can be the issue in this matter. If you get moisture on the plugs it can cause both, but I would chase water in the tank for starters. If you received a bad batch it can clog the fuel filter as well.

Re: misfire?

Clean/replace your fuel injector. They can spray uneven creating a super rich mixture on the intake that will do this. Also clean your IAC. It can cause this as well. Good Luck.
