92 S-10 oil pan replacement

My 92 S-10 with the 6 cylinder has a really rusty and leaking oil pan. I tried to change it once a couple years ago and found that it wasn't going to happen without some major work. I've been patching and patching with JB weld and it has helped, but I think it's time to do it right now. Anyone done it. I assume you have to lift the engine quite a bit. Other threads say you don't have to pull the engine on a 2 wheel drive which is what I have. The truck has only 32K miles, but is rustyer than all get out. Help.

is there a subframe covering the oil pan? if there is, most likely you will have to lift the engine (not remove) to get enough clearance to get the oil pan out.

If it's a 4x4 you will probably have to pull the motor, I know that I did.
