Question 2001 Neon wont start

I was wondering if anyone can help me in regards to this proble. I have a 2001 Neon SOHC Auto 4cyl with 90K miles on it. The other day it just died and I wasnt able to start it. That was very odd since its ran fine before. When my mechanic ran the diagnostic, it said the ignition coil and Crank Sensor were bad. We replaced those but still no go. He is now telling me that the ECM may have been shorted. Is this possilble on such a new car? There appears to be small burn marks on the ECM but would it keep the car from starting? Any insight anybody can provide will greatly help. Thanks

Re: 2001 Neon wont start

When you first turn the key on is there a check engine light if so more than likely the computer is fine if the mechanic was wrong and he put the parts in at decent shop you wouldn,t be responsible for paying for those parts.

yeah turn the key but dont start if the check engine stays on then see what goes it gets. Try turning the key back and forth until it starts blinking
