strange noise

alright so i've had my truck for about a year now and have noticed that while braking, or backing out of my drive way, it makes a moaning noise. like some thing is rubbing together.. Now the thing is, is it doesnt do it all the time.. some days it will some times it wont for a week or more.. any suggestion?? other then turning my music up

well coming up to a red light i press on the breaks and it like a creeking noise, sounds like its coming from the back, same with backing out of my drive way its on a slant and i hear the name noise

when stopping yes, while backing out of my drive way no i just let it roll out.

Sounds like you need to get your rear brakes serviced.

How did you check?

It could be the spring leafs rubbing together. or the rubber bushings. If you get an overweight friend to bounce in the back (not to heavy) with you under you might see and hear where the noise is coming from.

I have the same problem on my car, and that's all that's wrong with it.

sorry for the long time for a responce.

anyways i had the whole rear break assembly part and the pads were replaced..

strange enough though, you can only hear this noise in side the cab.. outside of my truck you hear nothing..
