Angry My car got stripped out guys!

Well guys, Friday night as I was in my bedroom watchin' Conan (as everynight), some assholes were out in my carcleaning it out! Grand total...$1500.00 worth of Audiobahn audio. They didn't damage my baby at all, which is a major plus! I live out in the middle of the woods in Indiana and never even thought about lockin' her up. Everyone 'round these parts don't even lock thier doors. Still trying to figure out insurance stuff. Well, I just thought I'd vent my frustration a little. I'm pissed

That just sucks, I guess you had to learn something the hard way. I live in a very safe and queit neighborhood, but once you've spent money on your car, an alarm better be on the list of things to buy. Im not sure if they do this where you live but here ppl are crazy. They will follow to your house and when you dont expect it they will come and rob you!

Re: My car got stripped out guys!

My friend was in class with me, went out to get something from his car. Came back 20 minutes later, his face white and gritting his teeth. " My eclipse...$4000 system...stolen...parked in street...."

he kinda gasped out the words you know... that shit just sucks. IF i were ever to get an entertainment system, id have it setup tht EVERYTHING looks stock... some people mount the deck in the glove comprtment...music system are the easiest to steal, and most widely stolen things a car has too....Really sorrry to hear about that shit man, bad piece of luck ...

Re: My car got stripped out guys!

Ouch man that sucks!!

Best thing to do is to call the insurance company and tell them that you have a system and you want it insured. Mine charged my $30 a year for it, but now I don't have to worry if it gets stolen.

Good thing to do IMO

Re: My car got stripped out guys!

Yeah, I live in a small community were people hardly lock cars let alone using alarms. It is so sad to see how many people contact my shop AFTER a theft inquiring about an alarm. Even worse is that they end up having me do the stereo job first then later do the alarm. Some got bitten again before the alarm install. Theives know what the timeline usually is for insurance to pay off things!

2nd note, seriously look into Directed Audio if the insurance will get you other brands for same money. Directed is usually less expensive because they don't rely on eye candy. www.directed.com
