loud squeakin noise during accelaration!! help

I got 91 ls integra...when i accelerate i hear this phuckin squeakin noise and when i brake it goes away does anyone know what this is...its really annoying too when im driving and i hear a loud noise almost sounds like maybe metal touchin something too i dunno please help

the squeakin noise is the belt. the tension on it is to high loosein it up. depends on what belt though. if have power steering it may be that or the timing belt. bring it to a local mechanic or do it yourself

this sounds alot like what happened to my friends eclipse just last month. does the noise get faster the faster you go? what his was was on the intermediate shaft dust cover. what that is, is the drive shaft that comes from the tranny to a hanger, then couples to the CV axle on the driver side of the car. he took it to mitsubishi and they told him that it was his non factory brake pads! i told him BS. we jacked the car while running and found that this dust cover had come loose around the intermediate shaft and was spinning with the axle, causing this metal scracthing metal sound. kinda like when your brake pads are almost gone.
