Re: ca18det project

Yes, Nissan decided to use common engine mounts. They will work.

wow, sounds like you got a real good deal, depending on the shape of the engine, but still... very nice. good luck with it.

Re: ca18det project

yah it was a pretty good deal. but as i put it together i keep finding more stuff i need to get for it. it so happens my friend lost a crate or a box when he moved back from okinawa. so now im trying to see what i can use off the front wheel drive ca18de to fit on it? in the long run it will be worth it but for now its crazy.

your lucky to have a SOHC 240sx to go along with the CA18, that engine and your engine bay go hand in hand.

MORE CA power! LOL

always cool to see some CA s chassis cars stateside, its like the forgotten engine here or something, I hear they rev real high and can be pita to tune stock fuel injection system.

Id like to drive one or atleast see some footage, everyone goes for the SR and RB25 these days... even the RB20 seems more and more like a dinosaur..

Re: Re: ca18det project

hell yah man i had a ca over in okinawa. i loved it. its a fun motor. yah it seems likes everyone over hear thinks that the sr are the shit. but the ca hase a stronger block. and rev hella high too. i think the ca is a better drift motor than the sr because its it stronger. they dont blow as much. so i like it. and if you do the right internal work you can have just as much power as the sr and more. haha
