Headers

Hi guys,

I have a 01 gsr and i want to get headers for it. i already have aem cai and comptech cat-back exhaust. I want to incease low and midrange rpm power while not sacrificing my high end power too much. Im thinking of getting comptech's 4-2-1 header. Is this a good choice?, can someone give me thier opinion.

thanks

Re: Headers

Race headers are goin to be loud as hell! Its not street legal. I'd suggest to get that dc sports jdm style header. You'll see a big difference from the other headers. Theres a site that shows whats the best header out there and dc jdm style came in like 3rd?

Re: Headers

Any performance stores or online store carries them. SMSP headers aren't cheap. Stick with JDM DC sports. Its like 350.

Re: Headers

The best header is the SMSP. Like i said its really expensive! I wouldn't get that unless my car is heavily modified.

Comptech makes some great stuff. A 4-2-1 header is the best choice to get more low and mid-range power.

It's not your car but check

here

BTW, how do you like your Comptech system?

i like it so far, the sound is nice and deep and it looks good. Its not a fart can like other exhausts.I can feel a bit of a power increase also, this will improve once i get my headers

Re: Headers

Search on honda-tech.com to see if you can find the links to testing all header. I believe honda tuning magazine did the test. Maybe you can search on there site.
