Question 98 Grand Am CD Player Screwy-Any Suggestions?

My 98 Grand Am's cd player(factory) has been acting screwy for months. My radio works great, but when I try to play my CDs it lasts for about 1/2 the song all the way up to a couple songs and then spits it out and won't play anymore. I noticed that this became a problem right after I hit a concrete barrier on the highway. First my dome lights wouldn't go off, then my cigarette lighter started making noises-then t his. Any possiblility they could all be related????

You could possibly have a short, you might have knocked a connection loose in the dash, you could have even jarred some of the components loose in the cd player it self, i had a cd player that did the same thing and the car was never wrecked, mine also skipped alot, i recommend getting an after market cd player and get rid of the stock one i had nothing but trouble with it........Let me know what happens
