What exactly is my car?

I just bought a 99 Jetta III, Wolfsburg Edition but I dont really know what it means.

Here is what it does have.
2.0L motor
5sp Manual Tranny
power sunroof
electric windows
cruise control

When I go to the parts store they ask me if it is the GL, GLS or GLX.......but my Jetta is just badged as a Wolfsburg so I dont know what to tell them. The auto parts stores also seem to look at 99 as being a Jetta IV.

Here are my questions.

1. What exactly does the 1999 Jetta Wolfsburg Edition have in terms of options?

2. How do I order parts given the 1999 mid-year model change from the Jetta III to the Jetta IV?

Thanks!

Re: What exactly is my car?

You have an a3 chasis. They were made from 93 to 99 1/2. Then they became the a4. The store should have known that. Do you have leather? The only diff is that the glx is a vR6. The gl and gls are 4 cylinders, but with diff options, like power stuff. You sound like the GLS

I bought the car at an auto auction.......not a VW dealer.

But you didnt answer my questions. I already know its a Jetta III.......but other than the obvious features I listed (2L motor, 5sp, cruise, power windows/sunroof) I have no idea what a Wolfsburg Edition means. And no, it doesnt have leather.

If you go to cars.com and click research and then fill in your car info that will help

Its juat a better trim level as far as i know, like was said, more options, different tails, and a nice little badge on the side, plus a slightly higher resale.
