Cool Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

2004 Tacoma v6 Supercharged & Bigger Injectors. Besides Headers, exhaust, throttle body, and a chip if I get one. What else will make my truck faster? Also if I get a Total Khaos lift with 2'' spacers on the rear and some new shocks in the rear with some 35" will I need to re gear. Need some help to make my truck ABSOLUTELY SWEET AS ALL HELL!!!
PLEASE FEEL FREE TO LEAVE ME ANY HELPFULL TIPS. I know I have a long ways to go I just barely got the Supercharger and the 7th Injector kit from TRD installed.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Upgrade your transmission to handle the power.

Yes, you should modify both your differentials' gears to bring the torque up at the wheels and minimize speedometer error.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Sounds badass. I wanted to get the supercharger for the 2.4L, kinda steep at the time i was looking into it. Would it be wise to get an aftermarket differential if one was planning on getting a supercharger?

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Don't change your differentials unless you have a specific problem you want to address. I recommended changing the gears in his differentials because he had installed larger diameter tires and that messes up your speedometer and reduces the torque at the tires.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

dump the 7th injector kit...either that or get the control module from URDUSA.COM....it'll allow you to tune your 7th injector to get the maximum horsepower from your engine.....don't bother with chip upgrades...they don't really work with tacomas...not worth the money...u mentioned total chaos...are you gettin' their long travel kit? what do you have planned for the rear? do you realize the long travel kit will widen your front by about 3-4" per side? if you're just lookin' for lift, there are cheaper options....if you get 35" tires, you'll have to regear unless you like having your mileage drop, no power, and your speedo off...also 2" in the rear is not enough to run 35's...you'll rub them at full flex...unless you run bedsides, you'll need at least 6" of lift to run 35's...

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Gadget had good luck with one modified chip and bad luck with another. See above link.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

yeah I'm aware of that, but the gains aren't worth the cost IMO

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Well hell, some people spend good money on useless cold air intakes that do more harm than good. Something that actually increases performance may cost more than you want to spend, but it is up to the individual to decide what to spend on their truck.

It's unusual to have credible dyno data on a part you can buy. Let others make their own judgement. Gadget certainly thought it was worth it.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

Thanks for all the input guy's. I think I definately need a trany upgrade sometimes my truck shifts really hard. It has alot more power than it did stock and the stock tranny just can't hang. I have been having to take it easy on my truck. To get rid of the jerky shift, should I get a differential upgrade or just a stronger tranny. If I got the thing from URDUSA.COM to manage the injector so I can get the most horse power will it void my warranty with Toyota. I am also aware of the 3" difference on each side with the total chaos long travel kit. I would definately get some fender flaires still looking around for best design with that. I am also planning on getting a catback exhaust with headers. I was thinking of doing that next. I am going to get all engine work done first then worry about suspension later, but I am going to definately get a sweet ass lift. Still debating if I want to just jack it up real high, or just have it prerunnerd out for fun

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

I have a supercharger now with a 7th injector set. No further upgrades as of yet. I think I am going to get a dual cat back exhaust with trd headers before I lift it.

Re: Supercharged & Bigger Injectors

hey does anyone suggest a better header and exhaust setup. I don't want it sounded wimpy but I don't want it sounding like a rice rocket and ofcourse I want some good horsepower.
