99 sub hole in rear bumper

on the rear of the bumper there is a small round hole to the right of the lic. plate. what is it for ?

Some one mounted a trailer plug connection there on mine..........original purpose, not sure.

That hole should be for access to your spare tire...

Since the bumper is also used on production pick ups it is used for access to the spare tire, There is a bar that is in the tool kit that is used to crank down the spare tire.
