What do you mean? Ground wires for what?

If your looking for a place to put a ground, you can put it on any solid metal part of the car

Re: cavalier ground wires

no the grouding wires arent bad, i put them on my car, then again i didnt waste my money on ebay, i just went to autozone and paid like 5 bucks for them. HP increase? if their is i didnt notice it. But you will notice your headlights will get brighter and your radio will sound louder and better.

Here are the points on in the engine compartment you want to ground.

1. Battery to firewall.
2. Battery to R strut tower.
3. Battery to throttle body.
4. Throttle body to head.
5. Head to exhaust.
6. Batter to L strut tower.
7. Strut tower to alternator.
8. Strut to distributor

A buddy of mine did this to a 2002 PT curser and noticed a MUCH better idle and a performance increase, as far as adding HP, couldn’t tell ya.

good luck hope this helps.

Re: cavalier ground wires

I bought a set for mine too...only difference, I'm pretty stupid and I read all that and are just like...okay. Can anybody give like a detailed step by step instruction, or do you know of any on the interent, i've spent like half my day trying to find one. BTW this is what I'm looking at. 99 Cavalier, 2.2L. It has TWO 37" WIRES, TWO 30" WIRES, TWO 24" WIRES, ONE 15" WIRES. and it looks something like this:

I know you have 6 wires that connect to something, but I need help with like...how to attach it to the battery, and like where the actual spinny looking gear thing goes, lol. yes that is the technical term. grrr. I'm dumb, somebody help please, lol.
