OK... solve this problem
I have a '86 wagon,3.0 axod tranny Saturday after a 300 mile trip this thing went crazy on me...first the horn started to blow when I shut the engine off and stopped when I cut the key back on. I pulled the #12 position breaker and that solved that until I got gas, After filling up I re-installed the breaker and it took a short time to crank...I got back on the road hit the passing gear and it bogged down and seem to starve for fuel at speed its fine until trying to accelerate....the O/D surges in and out with the cruise on ....ANY HELP WILL BE A BLESSING

Re: OK... solve this problem
Whenever twilight zone stuff starts happening, suspect a loose ground cable. It can affect lots of things, seemingly unrelated. Good luck.

Re: OK... solve this problem
In the past when there is strange electrical things going on I look to the transmission range sensor. There are alot of inputs that go to the PCM through it. If it is faulty then the PCM will recieve bad inputs and give the wrong outputs to sensors. B.S. in is B.S. out.

Re: OK... solve this problem
Thanks for the reply...I'll check the ground to see if any change will happen. The fan plug was arcing before all the problems started. I was about 150 miles away from my tools so I clipped the positive wire to the fan and hard wired it to get home...thats when I first noticed the problem.
