CRX w/B18 vs MR2 w/3S-GTE vs RX-7 vs Eclipse GSX w/4G63

I was wondering how these cars would size up in these categories.

1. External Aftermarket (body kits, etc.)
2. Drag strip perfromance
3. Road course performance
4. Overall Cool Factor
5. Overall Looks

those are really different cars and really different things to rate it on. all i can say is that the lowest of the lowest in that group would be the CRX with the B18.

maybe on the strip.. and looks(cool factor kits...) but they can be made to handle very well and it has a huge weight advantage even over the rx7... so it wouldnt do TOOO bad...
*really trying hard to defend this car but I just dont know much about them. lol

ok I would vote for the rx7. They have a real smooth look to them, sort of rare and obviously handle great and have a good fair share of power.. or maybe the mr2 turbo. another kick ass car for the same reasons. AWD DSM kick ass too but they just dont handle as well as the others in stock/close to stock form..

Okay I'll shut up now..

Depends what RX-7. If we're talking twin-turbo FD3S, it should blow everything else away (although the MR2 Turbo has some great potential on a road course).

since all of them perform similar with mods. the only stand out would be the CRX since its the oldest, the ugilest and the only FWD. so i had to pick on it.

CRX with a B18, me being a semi honda hater simply because of morons with the accords that dont knwo how to tune a car, is a deadly potient combination....think about it....stock the CRX isnt all the bad of a car....i think the lowest package was the HF and it had 70HP...and it wasnt super quick but could run with new crap cars....ie chevy cavi's... then drop a 180HP motor into a 1800lb car...10lbs per HP is quite quick....if it was only easyer to drop an H22a into a CRX the CRX would be far more potent....and it being so light on the road corse it will out handle all of the above listed....and i also like the old skool body style...if that RX-7 was a 2nd generation with a new sequincial turbo 13B i would pick the old skool RX-7 with the new , me loving wankle engins and the complexity of sequincial turbos, 13B over them all....i love sleepers....less useless non-performance crap=faster....i am a complete eclipse hater...all because of that gay commercial..."days go by and still i think of you...blah blah blah blah blah" and i never like the MR2....now the MR-S...ohh how sweet...too bad yo ucant get one in america near as easy as the MR2....but why didnt you throw an old skool toyota corrola AE-86 on the road/drift corse this car dominates, i dont care how fast my car can go in a straight line really....though it is a good was to monitor how well your performance mods are working....but i wouldnt center my car around accelerating in a straight line....i would never put a boky kit or anything on it externally....i would keep everyhting right down to the steel rims bone stock....under the hood is a different story....cool factor....to me this car, 2nd generation RX-7's, Datsun Z-series, and the comptech S-2000 are the ultimate in speed cool factor...there are also other cars that are major cool factor that arent speed...such as a '69 cadilac convertable cope deville....and ov corse i love the old skool look so it wins there also....body kits are a very weak atempt to make a slow car look fast

tend to agree... i'm gonna put a bodykit on mine eventually though but the other sort...that being the type where you have a fast car and you want downforce oh and...
widebody = wider tyres = more grip

but i stress NOT until i have done pretty much everything mechanical that i want..

i really have no problem with a fast looking body kit on a fast car...if i had an extremely fast (and i do mean extremely fast beyond what i am looking at right now) i would put a body hit on it....but i would probably end up with one that vents the rear bumper of traped air, had a front spoiler, and vents the wheel wells to help cool the brakes and alows for less drag....

Re: CRX w/B18 vs MR2 w/3S-GTE vs RX-7 vs Eclipse GSX w/4G63

yeah but less drag and downforce are at odds unfortunately...

i'm looking at a widebody kit, rear diffuser, and a vented hood to get the heat out of the radiator... front and rear spoiler for downforce.. but before i do that stuff i want 400rwhp from an "unstressed" engine... before then i dont want it looking fast before it goes
