Turbo D16

What needs to be done to safely run 8 to 10 PSI on a D16z6 or d16y8, what internal and fuel mods need to be made.

Re: Turbo D16

srp pistons (cheapest), eagle rods (cheapest), Aem fuel rail, DSM fuel injectors (dirt cheap) , walbro fuel pump, boost controller and i would get hondata but kinda pricey. Then get it tuned. Just throwin in some ideas.

Re: Turbo D16

No offence man, but if you are asking us, you are still far too inexperienced for a turbo setup. Do some more research on here and on honda-tech before you go wasting money.

He came here to learn. This is his way of researching.

ANYWAYS back to the topic. If you dont want to go all out then yeh get the block guard but to be honest...they're shitty. I'd just resleeve them.

First off all I was trying to see what others thought. I have been through my fair share of honda swaps and have swapped a friends nissan 240 for a sr20, So just because I ask a question dosen't mean you can treat me like a idiot. I was asking to see if you could safely run that with as little money as possible. Since the guy from drop Shop ran like 9 psi on a stock d16a6. So from now on let me be clear and to the point if you want to be a dick, don't post. My friends sr runs 13psi on stock internals with fuel mods and a greddy E-manage.

Also what make you high and mighty hybrid doe's that painted valve cover you have give you power, I have to save and scrape to buy parts just like everybody else. So why is it wrong to want to do it and save money. Also how old are you,and your little buddy look like you guys are in highschool.

Oh wow man you are really starting trouble now. I was just saying that there are like a million other posts JUST LIKE THIS already on the forum, that you could search for a see what everyone else said in those.

And now to you bashing on me. #1 maybe you should read the post some more, I JUST BOUGHT THE CAR, I didn't paint the valve cover, I've actually told everyone that I don't like it and plan to paint it black like it came factory. And why are you saying you save and scrape to buy all your parts? You think I don't? I've bought every car I've owned all by myself, no help from anyone. I also pay for all my mods done to my car. The only reason I was even able to buy a new car after I crashed mine is because I had $3000 set aside for a b16 swap, which I can't do now until I save more money again.

And yeah, I've been out of highschool for 2 1/2 years now. I'm 20 years old and so is my friend. I work full time. I work 5-7 days a week, depends how busy we are at work. I also work 12 hour days sometimes. So don't even start shit with my little boy. Go run home to mommy.

Re: Turbo D16

How is that bogus? I even said I wasn't trying to offend him or anything. All I said was that maybe he should do some more searches on it before he goes wasting him money on something he knows nothing about.

Re: Turbo D16

I agree with Hybrid1990crx. There are way more places to ask this question (or use a SEARCH) and if one is so "experienced" then they should know about these resources. The answers to this question are easily found on honda-tech.com, AF, and homemadeturbo.com by using a search. Also, dont use a block gaurd...instead check out www.theoldone.com and look around for an article on block posting. Almost all the strength of a block guard but without inhibiting the flow of the coolant.

I have already had a 95 civic Ex with the Apex-i kit but only ran 6psi, so i've been through also a b16a2 into the same 95 also a b16a into my buddys crx, plus many zc and sohc swaps. So don't tell me what I am experienced with or not. There always has to be some jackass thinking he's high and mighty, and also you work 12 hour days try sixteen at west liberty foods, 6-7 days a week, I work whatever we work 10 hours by rule, and almost go over everyday.
