The most bang for the buck?
hey im going to be getting a 4 door '95 civic LX for practically nothing when im 16. I was just wondering what parts will give me the most hp for the money? Its a auto so I'm going to put in a stick when I get it and that will set me back some. Then I was thinking a engine swap but that would only give me like another 60 hp and it would be like 2-3grand. So I was thinking a new intake, exhuast, maybe new heads, and maybe a turbo but what do you guys think? Right now I have a 1.5L SOHC non-vtec (I know it sucks lol) BTW I wanna be around 220 hp if I could without being completely broke! Thanks in advance

...meaning... turbo that beitch. Cheapest way will be to piece your own kit together using a modified hf, std, or cx manifold... http://www.civicland.com/diy/general...et_turbo.shtml |

Re: The most bang for the buck?
Probably around $2,000-$2,500, maybe a little less, including the engine management and tuning. But there's really no other cheaper way to get 220hp out of your car. Even an engine swap like the Integra Type R, which is 200hp, will cost you $4000 for just the parts for the swap (not including the auto to manual change over that you'll do). And the hp will depend on what your setup is, what parts you buy, how well it's tuned. Check out www.turbod16.com and look for the thread that tells what others are running and try to get a similar setup.
