knocking or bearing noise
Last week my water pump went out so I replaced the pump and the timing belt. Now I hear a knocking or bearing noise. At first I could hear it mainly when I ran the ac. Now I hear it all the time. I cant tell where it is coming from, it seems to be from the front of the engine.

Re: knocking or bearing noise
did you replace the timing belt tensor? If not, that is probably what is knocking.

Hi there!
I noticed that my Isuzu also does the same bearing, orl valves noise. It happens MORE when I use the cheaper gas (89), but sometimes with 93 sporadically do the same. A mechanic told me are the lifters. The engine has only 37,000 miles, I am the ONLY owner since new, I changed the oil every 255-3000 miles including filter...no leaks and spend oil too. SOmeone knows about this sound on the engine? The sound is ONLY when I try to put more accerleration in some cases...not always... Thanks for any comment..!!! I also experienced that the dashboard showed me that I was in NEUTRAL and my shift display in DIRECT...and was really direct.... now stop to do that. |
