all alone

for how hard I have tried at everything, it seems I almost always go it alone

now, I finally have a hobby I love...and I want to complete my project just like a friend did, he advised me against it just as he lived up the glory of everyone making over his car....and all the people where I live couldnt give any less of a damn...hell mostly all of them are still in highschool and can not even begin to relate to me, much less my driving experience.

The only person who always had my back with cars moved too...and is getting hammered by a huricane, and I dont know if he will be fine...the winds are enough to flip cars where he is....so.....

in so many words....I wish I was Tak

but I guess my friend beat me there.....so looks like i'm iggy....

at least tak was always supportive of iggy making his car though,.....

well, if you ever feel like you want to give up, you can always give me your car.

well, it was worth a try.

and btw, it's Takumi and Iketani. use the REAL Initial D names, not the stupid-sounding americanized translated ones.

Re: all alone

i had a 87 trans am project car back in the summer, i had spent 1400 on it and my dad gave it away. he didnt wnat it setting in the driveway no more. i loved that car and i put alot of hard work into it trying to bring it back to life, i had planned on restoring it to show room condition, but i was shot down. my dad gets jelous when i try and do something that i love to do. so i guess thats his way. but i have other cars to do but i cant ever work on them for looking at him standing and staring. so do what you love, you can do anything if you try!

Re: all alone

Re: all alone

When I got a real career job and actually had money to buy things like a new car, house and whatever I started to really look at things. My bestfriend who I had known literally my whole life got a small settlement of like $12K for an accident. Instead of paying off his medical bills, and other "more important things", he bought a car and blew it on video games and shit. He felt all of the sudden that he was too good for everyone. Other friends began to shy away because I took my job seriously and didn't get wasted all of the time like they did. Long story short, I realized I had to make a decision. I didn't like it especially because these were all friends that I had grown up with. I decided not to hang out with these friends anymore. They still call from time to time when they want something and I just tell them sorry, but I guess you should have thought of that when you bailed on me. What I'm getting at is sometimes you just need to take it for what it is and go out and find some new friends. If a friend won't stand up for you or support you in a decision or anyting else they aren't a friend at all. I know I am probably a long ways away from you, but if you ever need someone to talk to I'm here. Sorry it was so long.
