Unhappy 1978 T-Bird Moonroof problems

I have a beautiful '78 Diamond Jubilee ( my fourth '78 Bird I have owned) but my first with a sun/moon roof. It only has 24 K original miles on and last week when opening the power moonroof (something I had done already many times, it appears to have jumped the track or fell off in the rear or something. I cannot find out how to dissasemble it. I took off the moldings around the headliner inside, but no luck there. I took off the cover over the cables and drive in the front top of the roof , but still cannot get the roof out or get access to the rear where the problem seems to be. Can anyone help me or at least point me in the right direction. You could e-mail direct at [email protected] and thanks much!

Re: 1978 T-Bird Moonroof problems

Please don't think we're being rude if you don't get a response right away. It's just that most (if not all) of these guys seem focused on the 84-97's. I'm sure that someone will know, but it might take some time. Who knows, tho?

Good luck, anyhow.
