Re: is this a good turbo kit?

I would check out www.racingknowledge.com, DSM section, there is a "sticky" topic about how wastegates and boost controllers work.

http://www.racingknowledge.org/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=117

I dont know much about the turbo "kits" so I'll leave your original question to someone else.

Its not even close to being a complete kit. But if you really know what your doing then that will give you all the basics you need to get started.

Re: is this a good turbo kit?

if your getting it piece by piece then get it, and look at the sticky thread up top for what else you need to complete it. but if you dont, then i suggest doing what jake says on his thread up top and start getting parts. if u juss want the kit already made juss to put on theres diff people who will sell. hrc most bought from i think.

Re: is this a good turbo kit?

you know what id look for.. a few months ago i found a whole bunch of what id of needed for a kit on my car frm a 97 i think gst on ebay.. dude bought the thing and ripped all the stock shiz off to make way for bigger badder components. i think that one went for like 320 and it included a t-25 under 60k, the manifold (must alter to fit 420a), bov, the side mount intercooler, all the stock intercooler piping (not sure of usefullness but who knows) and i beleive even injectors.. not a full kit yet.. but not a bad start either.. iv found crap like that 20 diferent times and stopped myself from buying for this reason or that.. id hold out for a deal if it were me again. even if that turbo is fried it would most likely be worth it to buy that and rebuild it...
