photo etch for 2002 Impreza WRC
Does anyone know of a photo etch grade up set for Tamiya's 2002 wrc Impreza (#24259)? If such a set does not exist is Scale MotorSport's set for the 2001 edition compatible? Thanks in advance

The kit Tamiya markets as the 2002 Impreza WRC is the identical kit to the one they market as a 2001 Impreza WRC, only with different decals.
In fact, Subaru only introduced the 2002 spec car after Tour De Corse, which is how Tamiya sort-of got away with this little bit of 'decal engineering'. To this effect, the SMS P/E set for the 2001 Impreza will be perfectly fine to use on the kit for the 2002 car, I did so already without a problem.

Yeah with Tamiya's recycling programme not only is the 2002 Subaru the same as the 2001 Subaru, but the 2002 Focus is the same as the 2001 Focus and the 2003 Peugeot is the same as the 2002 Peugeot.
 Although the latter does have the correct wider roof scoop that the 2002 car should have had anyway. x2
