b16b

so im gettin a b16b and im wondering will i need to get after market parts since it not a 95 civic engine and what type of parts should i get since the engine is not a sohc and it a dohc what type of parts are neccesary

not excactly. Not all b series parts OEM or aftermarket are interchangable. that includes different generations of B16s.

Excactly what aftermarket parts are you speaking of will answer your question.

Yes to my knowledge all of them fit besides the sensors cause of different obd. Cams,cam gears, pistons, rods, sleeves anything. Of course gsr manifold is different so that wont fit on b16 or type r heads. Maybe i didn't explain it well enough but you get the idea.

The rods on the motors are all different lengths. B16A's use a 5.290" rod, B17's use a 5.208", B18A/B's use a 5.394", B18C's use a 5.429". B16A's and B17's have a different deck height from B18's and B16B's, so sleeves arn't interchangeable.

Ok but most parts do fit. I could've sworn some guy had to use gsr rods on his b16 but he had to take it to a machine shop. i'm tellin you from what i've seen and experianced.

im using b16b pistons with my b16a rods with no problem.
