Reading SES code

Actually not for me, korndogg's check engine light is on in his truck, hes not sure which ports to connect to use the paper clip method of reading the error codes. Which are they?

The two terminals on the top row, farthest right (passenger side)

Re: Reading SES code

what year is the car?? If its OBD1 then the jumper should work.. if its OBD2 than you need a OBD2 compliant scan tool or programmer

I believe they started using OBD2 in 1996.. I could be wrong

Also, you are not starting the car when you have the jumper wire in there are you? Just turn the ignition on, dont start it..

93 V6 - nope jsut sits there and looks real stupid. I've troubleshot sel's many times before - replaced chips and sensors never had the SEL not blink. 2 months ago ran well no light - started running crappy - local bidness put new plugs and wires on and ran good for a bit - now it stinks.
any tips or ideas appreciated
