Hard start problem...at wits end...HELP!!!

OK, here's the rundown...'96 GT hard start hot or cold. I have changed factory plugs/wires properly gapped and used dielectric grease on boots, changed fuel pressure regulator and fuel filter. Problem is longer than normal crank(10 to 12) but will start and then run fine. Here's the kicker...if I cycle the fuel pump twice before starting car it will fire after 3 cranks like normal. Is this a fuel pump problem? IAC problem? What?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Sounds like your pump may be dying...

Have you checked the fuel system with a guage? The pressure should stay in the system for a while, like at least overnight. Otherwise the check valve in the pump is bad and it's having to prime the system every single startup.
