98 Explorer Sport
Just bought a used Explorer Sport and I don't have the code for the keypad, where does Ford hide the code? also the map lights don't work.I checked all the fuses and none are burnt out. How do I check the bulbs.

Re: 98 Explorer Sport
I have a explorer sport too and didn't know the code, so I went to the ford dealership and they told me you would have to take apart the inside drivers' side door to find it. I didn't do it though.
------------------------------------------ new question: I never really noticed my steering wheel turning way more than I thougt. Like when I make a right turn at a red light, I would have to make almost two full turns on the steering wheel just to make it. Is this normal? |

Guys, The code you need is located on the computer module located in the jack storage compartment on the drivers side of the Sport. There may be more than one 5-digit code to try, but one of them WILL work.
