Digital SCI+ Ignition
Hey,
Any one here running this? I was thinking of upgrading my stock ingition and ran across this little puppy... ![]() The all new Digital SCI+ Ignition Control delivers the power and accessories that make it ideal for street/strip sport compact cars! High output capacitive discharge sparks ensure complete combustion of the fuel mixture especially at high rpm. If a dose of nitrous is being injected, there is a retard stage that can be activated automatically to prevent detonation from the increased cylinder pressures. To assist with firm launches, there is also a rev limit that can be activated that will hold the engine at a steady rpm so you can launch at full power! The heart of the Digital SCI+ Ignition is a 15 Megahertz microcontroller, the fastest of all digital ignitions. This efficiency results in a smooth rev limit and accurate timing. The ignition installs easily to most engines equipped with a distributor. Digital SCI+ Ignition Control PN 6350 Thankx, MAX .

Re: Digital SCI+ Ignition
Umm,
Yea, I have a Rebuilt A6 with a Y8 head, a Z6 intake and the normal bolt ons (header, freeflow cat, cat back, CAI, etc...) as well as a dry zex that I would like to run with the 75 shot. I wanted this because it can retard the timing when the nitrous is activated. If I went with the Plain Digital SCI I would have to add an extra timing retard controler which would cost about the same. Basicly I just want to be able to retard my timing when I use my nitrous if I could find another way other then using a MSD Ignition Controler I would... MAX .

Re: Digital SCI+ Ignition
Well as far as the controller goes you will never have any problems with MSD and when it comes down to timing you cant be wrong, cause the motor will take the wrong the wrong way and have a major issuse under nitrous you cant be wrong. I cant speak for that system that you posted but I would go with MSD only if you dont want to have problems. IMO

Thanks for the info Cjz89civic, I know it may sound lame but I like to ask about things before I buy it, that way I won't be stuck with something that does not work... MAX .
