There is only a few Z31 owners on this forum so www.z31.com might have more info on your problem. Might just be that the AC has a cut off switch built into it that kills the air for whatever reason. Engine getting too hot, etc and so on...

Re: Something is Arigh.....

i am guessing there is something wrong with your ac compressor. check all your belts, they should be able to turn 90 degrees, no more or no less.

Re: Something is Arigh.....

Brent to the rescue!... J/k....it's a vaccume leak! My car does the same thing except my car's A/C doesn't work...instead of blowing cold when you're off the gas then getting hot, mine just blows hot when I'm off the gas then gets HOTTER when I'm on it...it must get ~100 degrees when I'm on the throttle...it's nearly painful. I asked a question about this same exact thing 4 or 5 days ago...read up.

Re: Something is Arigh.....

If you wana just correct the problem just buy all new vac lines. Why wouldnt you want to replace those 19 year old pieces of rubber anyway. I did when I got my 85 and I havent had vaccume poblems since. Except that rough idle which I cant figure out what it is. Maybe its the gas spraying out of the gas pressure sensor hoses spraying all over the timming belt. Were see in this next week if thats fixed it.

To track a vac leak you can get some wd40 and spray around the vac lines........Listen for the idle speed to change.......If it does that means the vac is sucking in the vapors from the wd40....

Good Luck

Re: Something is Arigh.....

you don't remember me saying that 1via? i suggested that a few months ago, except with carb cleaner instead of wd40. i did it on my car and no idle changes, so supposedly i have no vacuum leaks!!
