1st time to the drag strip

well i just came back from the friday night street racing (no et's). the gates opened at 8pm races strarted at 9pm. i was 3rd up i pulled behind a riced out older honda. no matter what you think your going to do when you get up there for the first time, it never happens, it took me 15 seconds to stage the line right, i over reved the engine, and almost hit 2nd when going for 4th. and of course whent the furthest possable way around the track possable.

second & third time i raced a 94 gst. we met in the lines, he was a highschool kid who just bought this 94 gst with tdo5h 16g for $2200 with 104k on it. he had no ideah what that ment, or what he had, so being the nice guy i am, i told him about the good buy, what he need to do, and where he could be with $1500. he was a preaty cool kid, as far as highschool kids go.

i beat him both times by 1 to 1 1/5 car lenghts, he was creeping on me though. the last run he hit 95, i sware i thought mine read 88. but im thinking that cant be right. anyway. 3 trips down the strip 3 victories. i think im going to enjoy this car.

Re: 1st time to the drag strip

I'm glad I started out on a small track in Alaska. If it was my first time and I went to say, Bandimere... I would probably mess up 5 runs in a row. Everything came easy to me, which I didn't expect. I guess it's easier to race a slow car though. Saw lots of people not stage right when I was at both tracks.

Re: 1st time to the drag strip

well. i have more then just a mbc. i have dejontool uicp w/ 1gbov, fipk, injen intake, boost gauge. NO STICKERS (good for easly 5 more hp.)

as for the kid, he poped his hood before we raced and i used a flashlight to tell him what he had. i actually thought he was going to win. he would of if we were running further then 1/4.
