Celica Gts really worth it?

Is the celica really worth it to spend all ur time and money modding it when it's already really slow. Can u convince me that this car will be worth it and it can be fast?

I have a GTS I've installed AEM intake DC header HKS axle back exhaust and Apex-i SAFC II B&M short throw shifter and soon UR pulley set. I raced a Cobra mustang like a month ago I took him in first and second gear(up to about 60mph) then he blew me away while I was shifting to third but we stopped and he said I had him worried that he wouldn't catch up and asked me what all I had done that for me was satisfaction!A GTS is pretty good up to about 100mph then it aint got nothin but at the strip 0-100 is all that matters. Also raced Mazda RX-8 and he couln't pull on me also monte carlo SS today just could'nt catch up with me(new body style) I've outran a civic auto with intake exhaust adjustable cam gears fuel pressure rail header back exhaust SAFC I fuel regulator and nitrous 75 shot all I had was a intake on my car and I smoked him really really badly outran some 240sx's Plus the women look evertime I ride by- you can beat the crap out of it and it still last 200k miles I think it's a respectable all motor car compression 11.5 to one!

What other car in it's class are you looking for?

RSX? yea it has more power, but the GT-S is about 340lbs less, and the 2ZZ-GE response well to mods. The RSX really does look like a beefed up civic, you like civics? And it's sorta turned into a chick car now.

SRT-4? Yea tons of power for the little guy, but it's almost 3k lbs! That sucker weighs 470 lbs more than a GT-S. Yea the SRT-4 is the fastest among the straights, but it's also turboed. And going straight isn't the only thing to do on the road, the SRT-4 has a 62/38 weight ratio, you like understeer? And plus, having a load of tq on a FWD car isn't the best thing.

So tell me, is it worth it?

the rsx actually has more aftermarket parts including various turboes actually...

and from what i come across the 7th gen celica is considered a chick car not that it matters..

well where im from the base model celica gt and rsx are both considered chick cars... the gt-s and rsx-s are kinda inbetween a guys car and girls car but he rsx-s is just less of a girls car if that makes sense

acuras and hondas and all of that shit is for pussies get a 300zx lol somethin with some TORQUE YEH BABY. lol just kidding the rsx is nice celica is nice.. i agree with ghetto tho.. type s is more guy regular is girl.. seen lots of guys driving type s not many girls cept in gt and the like.. once again if your a man buy sometin with some TORQUE, ie camero ss lol or 300zx like me.. if you are broke buy a pinto.. save up and get a.... well i already said that twice.

sorry to dissapoint but theres no way u hit a 14.4 in a stock celica gts...best ive ever seen one run stock was a 15.4

the gts is a good car. i threw the 95' gts 5sfe 2.2L motor in my 94' paseo. it hauls ass!! i've smoke a 93' rx-7 twin turbo in second gear. but when you talk about hondas and acuras, they're both the same company. acuras are just luxary hondas. they only divided them into two different rands to make more money. so i think they both suck. i eat hondas and acuras for breakfast.

uve beaten a 93 tt rx7? heh doubt it... even if you have a good weight power ratio, you only have 140 hp... rx7 tt's come with 255hp... he was either messing arround, or wasnt racing....

by the way, since honda sucks how many nsx's have u eatin with ur 5sfe? just curious

well im not sure if he was or not but it was still a race. and i've never raced a nsx with my paseo but i've seen plenty of supras beat them at the track in fontana.
