i know this is irrelevant but it was wierd. i got a phone call from a guy named kurt from sport compact pro on my cell phone. it was wierd because i have never given my number or name or anything to them in any sort of paper work and my cell phone is even registered under my name. i guess i will have to call back and find out what is going on. he just left a number and told me to call back and ask for kurt.

If Spc Was Serious About Sponsoring Some Of Us Why Can They Just Cut Us A Check Instead Of Having All This Drama. I Think There Is A Catch Here. This Is What I Have Been Thinking.

I Think That Spc Is Using Us To Make Money! How By Been Some Kind Of Sales Company. Spc Is Selling All This Parts For All This Companies And Making Money By Advertising. Yeah Advertising!!! Spc Is Helping All This Different Companies Sell Their Product And They Get Pay By Commision. But This Is Just My Opinion Thats Why They Want You To Refer People To Them So They Can Use The Sponsor Line And Have More Clients ( Us) To Make More Money.

Because you don't just hand someone money without the "drama" of a contract because then they could just run off without doing a damn thing for you.

Duh. There is no point in giving out free cash. Thats how companies go out of business. I'm sure they make some money off the advertising contracts but I can't imagine it would make up for all that they are giving you.

Again, duh. They want to make money like everyone else. The reason you sought sponsorship is so that you wouldn't have to pay for it. The whole reason to sponsor people is to get the product out there. That is the entire purpose of sponsorship. Without you going to shows with the logos on the side of the car then there is no reason for them to give you any money. This ain't charity.

Then why doesn't someone call them up and find out what the deal is. Take you 5 mins and if they are genuine then you just netted yourself a virtually free 12 grand, at the cost of what was it, 4 show appearences a year? Its not like they are asking you to be on the road all the time and forcing you to win best in show or something. And if they aren't the real thing then you've lost nothing. Check around other forums and websites and ask some questions. Check the better business bureau and see if there is any complaints about them.

I haven't sent mine back yet, either...not cuz I don't want to...I DO want to. I found out that you don't have to send in 4 apps/mo AND go to 4 shows/mo...it's one or the other! I'd LOVE to go to shows anyway, so it works great for me! I just have waaaaaaay too much shit going on right now to deal with it, so I'll send it in once stuff settles down. Send it in, guys!
