Starting troubles

Hey guys. First off, my car - 5th gen prelude 34,000 milses - I've been noticing lately that my car won't start unless the clutch (stock) is pressed all the way in. The engagement point is well sooner than the point where it needs to be to start the car.

I don't have a problem starting the car, its just the clutch needs to be pushed in all the way to the floor (with maybe a half inch left) for the car to start. I'm worried that it'll get to the point where the clutch won't go far enough to get the car started.

What can I check or do to see if there is a problem?

The clutch is supposed to be depressed all the way to start the car when it comes stock. You can tweak the sensors if you want to be able to start the car without pushing it all the way in.

check and make sure that the switch is properly secured. also some older hondas have a plastic/rubber insulator or spacer where the clutch safety switch contacts the pedal check if your vehicle has one and is missing it.
